When going on holiday, it can be easy to worry about your luggage being stolen or lost by your airline, but one clever flight attendant has thought up a hack to assure that never happens.

Cici is an American flight attendant who has travelled throughout the world and informs people on her TikTok account @cici.inthesky how they can stay safe while on holiday.

In a recent video, Cici explained that she has a super simple method for keeping luggage safe.

Cici said: “If you are not doing this when you fly, please explain to me why you are not doing this when you fly.”

Cici explained that she always uses air tags when flying, as the devices will track their location so that she always knows where her suitcase is.

Cici explained that using an air tag is super easy. She said: “First, get your apple tag, Secondly, easily pull [the tag] out. After you pull the tag, you will see that it will automatically connect to your phone. At that point, you just go through the very easy steps to set it up.”

The flight attendant added: “Hide it in your luggage. Put it somewhere in your luggage where people cannot find it, and I’m not going to tell you where I hide mine!”

In the caption of the video, Cici added: “Apple AirTags are a convenient and effective way to track luggage. Simply attach the small tag to your luggage and use the Find My app to locate it.”

Cici said she put an air tag in her suitcase and left it in the United States, and that she could still track her luggage when travelling in Guatemala, meaning you can go anywhere in the world and still know the exact location of your luggage.

Cici said: “This hack works and should be used, even if you just bring a carry-on bag because if your bag gets checked when it’s gonna be where they checked luggage is.”

In the video comment section, commentators praised Cici for her brilliant idea. One user said: “Air tags just saved me big time. They forgot to scan my bag in France and left them in Sweden at my layover. When I landed in Barcelona I told them.”

However, another user had another useful way to use air tags on holiday. One woman wrote: “I have the people I travel with carry/put one on themselves. That way if we get separated we can find each other.”
