Flight attendant issues warning for passengers sleep against windows on planes

Recently the aviation worker noted that tourists should avoid touching the windows.

Tommy commented: “Do not fall asleep or lean your head on the window”, reports the Mirror.

He claimed it’s impossible to know if the window has been recently cleaned – and added that many other people had likely smeared their hands on the glass or fallen asleep with their head on the window.

Tommy noted: “You are not the only one that has done that and you don't know how many people or children have wiped their hands or other things all over the window.”

The thought of greasy hands and snotty noses touching the windows is enough to put anyone off this habit – especially as many people are liable to feel and even be sick while flying.

And, it's not the only advice flight attendants have given out when it comes to hygiene.

In an Ask Reddit forum, a cabin crew member urged people to think twice before putting their hands on tray tables or seat pockets.

They wrote: “If you're flying short haul, definitely bring antibac wipes or sanitiser.

“A lot of airlines will have the crew 'turnaround' the plane meaning they pick up your rubbish, fold your seatbelt over, file your magazines in the seat pocket and then welcome new passengers on board.”
