Ex-cabin crew member warns passengers to keep shoes on during flights

When it comes to flying, comfort is very important.

Whether you're wearing a specific outfit or just taking off your shoes, it's nice to let loose on a plane.

But did you know that freeing your toes during a flight isn't as safe as you think?

Now an ex-flight attendant has warned passengers to always keep their footwear on.

Former cabin crew member Tony Kuna even said it could jeopardise your safety.

He wrote on Quora: "Besides stinking up the whole cabin, footwear is essential during a plane emergency.

Previously, a cabin crew member revealed why you should always keep your shoes on for take-off and landing.

This is because Boeing conducted a study which found that half of all plane crashes occur during either take off or landing.

Meanwhile, a flight attendant revealed the grim reason not to wear shorts on a plane.

The advice came from @tommycimato who posted a video on TikTok with five health and hygiene tips for airline passengers.

He said: "Don't or try not to wear shorts when you're on an airplane.

"It's the same thing as the window – you never know how clean it's going to be.

"So if you have pants, you're going to have less germs."

It's easy to see why wearing a pair of trousers is a more sensible option…
