Eurostar opens bookings for direct trains to ski holiday destinations in France

We may only be a few weeks into summer, but Eurostar is already giving us the perfect excuse to start dreaming about a wintry ski getaway!

The high speed rail service has opened up bookings for its winter services to the French Alps, with direct routes right by some of region's best ski destinations.

In fact, the company offers direct routes to Moûtiers, Aime-la-Plagne and Bourg-St-Maurice which make for easy access to the likes of Courchevel, La Plagne, Tignes, Meribel, and Les Arcs.

You can already book the Eurostar ski services online , with fares starting from £80 each way from London St Pancras and Ashford International.

The best part is that you can bring your skis or snowboard on board – at no extra cost! (Alongside the usual allowance of two suitcases plus hand luggage).

The seasonal services run from the 20th December 2019 through to the 11th April 2020 so there's ample opportunity to book a trip whether you're tied to the school holiday dates or not.

There will be three options for skiers.

The first will be Friday overnight services for those who want to arrive early Saturday morning and have time to get to their resort and hit the slopes.

The second service will be on Saturday daytime for those who prefer a more leisurely start.

The third service will be running specifically on Saturday 16th February and will be a Saturday overnight service, with a Sunday daytime return to the UK on the 23rd February.
