While Seville isn’t famous for its Christmas celebrations, the city puts on an impressive display of lights on its main streets.

There are also several Christmas markets where tourists can pick up traditional Spanish festive treats. On New Year’s Eve, it’s a Spanish tradition to eat 12 grapes at each stroke of midnight to ring in the New Year with good luck.

Seville is the birthplace of tapas and tourists will be able to enjoy the city’s huge range of restaurants without needing to wait in line in December.
