Going on a caravan holiday is a great way to see the country and many Britons have embraced the staycation trend last summer. This year, while international travel has been made easier by the relaxing of Covid travel rules, a UK holiday could still be on the cards for many.

The UK’s favourite campsites have been named, and all of them offer campervan facilities.

The list was compiled by Just Kampers by analysing the most “talked about sites” in the UK.

There are around 6,000 campsites with campervan facilities in the UK, alighting the popularity of the holiday option.

Britons planning their spring and summer caravan adventures ahead may wish to book early when it comes to the 10 most popular sites in the UK.

Coming top was Deepdale Farm in Norfolk, which was crowned the “most talked about campsite in the UK”.

The North Norfolk campsite is a working farm and also holds an annual music, food and drink festival.

In second place was the seaside campsite of Aberafon on the Llyn Peninsula.

Offering holidaymakers the opportunity to camp next to a remote beach on the North Wales coast, Aberafon is a great seaside option.

In third place was Top of the Woods in Pembrokeshire.

The eco-glamping site has one special campervan pitch and affords beautiful views over Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

Soo Hammond, owner of Top of the Woods said: “Top of the Woods is a magical place with freedom and space to reconnect with nature, family, and friends.

“We are in a remote beauty spot by the Pembrokeshire National Park next to 325 acres of Welsh woodland.

“With no light pollution we have amazing dark skies at night, where you can see the milky way on a clear night.

“You might also catch the beautiful white barn owls silhouetted against the tree line, or the fluttering of seven species of protected bats all off for their evening hunt in the woods.

“Top of the Woods is a place for nature lovers and for those who want time and space to be with the people they love.”

In fourth place was Caolasnacon Caravan & Camping park in Argyll.

It’s a great campsite for activities in Glencoe and Loch Leven and was described by Just Kampers as best for “adrenaline junkies”.

Rounding up the top five was Beacon Cottage Farm in Cornwall.

There are plenty of nearby beaches to explore for the perfect UK seaside holiday.
