As many of us embrace the summer staycations instead of jetting off to sunnier climbs – we're sure to be hitting parks and beauty spots for alfresco eating like never before.
Whether a fancy affair with finger food to savor or a packable feast of sandwiches and snacks for kids to tuck into – picnic season is well and truly open for business.
But finding the most beautiful backdrop to set up your feast can leave you with a task to get your teeth into, reports 2Chill.
So, with this in mind those clever bods behind HelloFresh have scouted out the most Instagrammable picnic locations in the UK, to help us picnic-goers pack up and hit the road.
To celebrate National Picnic Week ( June 19 -27) the meal box delivery company analysed the number of Instagram posts for 22 of the most recommended picnic locations in Britain.
And the results saw a great picnic divide as more than half of those top spots listed were in the sunny South.
Brighton Beach is the most popular picnic location in Britain by far, with a whopping 834,000 posts.
As the 2021 picnic season gets into full swing, we could see the spot smash the one million mark this year!
Out of the 22 locations, Little Venice on London’s Regent’s Canal is the second most popular picnic location in Britain, with 319,000 hashtags on Instagram.
Seven Sisters country park in East Sussex took joint third place, alongside Hampstead Heath in London, with both locations racking up 296,000 posts each.
