American Airlines has introduced a new fare product.
Flagship Business Plus tickets are now available for select international and transcontinental flights on AA.com and in third-party sales channels.
Flagship Business Plus offers American’s standard in-flight business class service but with enhanced perks on the ground. Those perks include access to private Flagship First check-in areas and expedited security screening; access to Flagship First dining in American’s Flagship Lounges; and a third checked bag.
Flagship Business Plus flyers also gain access to the carrier’s London Heathrow arrivals lounge.

American offers Flagship First check-in at London Heathrow, Chicago O’Hare, Miami, Los Angeles International (LAX) and New York JFK. Flagship First dining, which is a free, sit-down meal service, is currently available at JFK, Miami and Dallas/Fort Worth airports. The Flagship First restaurant at LAX is temporarily closed.
American said the fare difference between Business and Business Plus will vary by flight and route. A search of American flights from Dallas/Fort Worth to Paris on Aug. 16 showed a price differential of $400.
American said it plans to enhance the Business Plus offering in the future for travel agencies making purchases via NDC-enabled connections.
The product is currently offered with the brand ID FBUSPL or the ticket designator FBPL.
