Located in the heart of Westminster, St James Court, a Taj Hotel, is described as “a discreet Victorian masterpiece” and one of Britain’s finest luxury hotels. What is it like to stay here for a weekend?
St James Court launched a free flow negroni fountain in its beautiful courtyard and we couldn’t wait to try it for ourselves.
The hotel’s Courtyard Aperitivo takes place every day after 6pm when guests can enjoy a lovely negroni served straight from the Italian-inspired fountain. It really doesn’t get better than this!
St James Court also offers G&T ice lollies in the courtyard after 12pm for those gin lovers who want to try a different and very unique infused gin.
The quiet garden is the ideal location to unwind after exploring London and enjoy a relaxing evening before heading to dinner.
In the courtyard, its ornate Victorian fountain surrounded by stunning porches and pillars provides the perfect scenario for an alfresco dining as the summer comes to an end.
After a couple of delicious drinks, we decided to visit its famous Jiva Spa, a charming space that combines Taj’s award-winning Jiva and the British lifestyle brand Temple Spa.
The rooms were spacious and elegant, offering a mix of old-world charm and modern design, and the service was just outstanding.
St James Court recently launched its Summer in the City package which offers accommodation and spa discounts until September 25, 2022.
When booking two nights or more, guests will receive a 15 percent discount on their stay with breakfast included and 10 percent off any Jiva Spa treatments.
The offer is valid for stays between August 1 and September 25, 2022, but needs to be booked between July 18 and September 24, 2022.
For those planning a weekend getaway in London, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace are the closest attractions to St James Court hotel.
St James Park and Victoria Station are at the hotel’s doorstep, as well as countless theatres, restaurants and bars.
The Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and the famous London Eye are also worth the visit.
For lunch or dinner, some of the best budget-friendly options for travellers are Mio Restaurant if you fancy Italian, the Blue Boar Pub for British food, and Cote Brasserie.
The English Rose Cafe is also a great option for an affordable but very authentic afternoon tea.
If you are looking for a fancy dinner, The Ivy Victoria, The Library at Country Hall, The Northall at The Corinthia hotel or The Goring Dining Room at the Goring hotel will all exceed your expectations.
The hotel features restaurants TH@51 with its international favourites and the Michelin-starred Quilon which takes guests along the south west coast of India.
Kona restaurant offers some of London’s most innovative themed afternoon teas and the iconic Bombay Brasserie serves the authentic flavours of the subcontinent, transformed into a contemporary gourmet experience.
Rooms at St James Court start at £296 per night.
