Kualoa Ranch recently announced its Koa Tree Planting tour, which takes guests around the ranch to learn about its plant restoration projects. It also teaches Hawaiian history and culture through the eyes of the land.
The koa tree is native to Hawaii and it was traditionally used by Hawaiians for many purposes, such as building canoes and crafting weapons. Today, koa is not as prevalent in the Islands as it once was.
This new three-hour ATV tour is an eco-adventure that allow guests to learn about this valuable resource in a hands-on way by planting a tree on the ranch. Guests should expect to get dirty, and tours go out rain or shine.
