Dominican Republic reopenings: Two Paradisus by Melia resorts

Reopenings, rebrandings and revamped concepts highlight Melia Hotels International’s recent launches in Punta Cana.

Paradisus by Melia, the all-inclusive resort brand owned and operated by Melia, reopened the 784-suite Paradisus Palma Real on Playa Bavaro on June 5.

The brand’s property formerly known as The Grand Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real will officially relaunch June 15 as Paradisus Grand Cana, with 432 suites. It will continue to focus on multigenerational vacation experiences.

The starting rate this month for both Paradisus Palma Real and Paradisus Grand Cana is $364 per room, per night, double.

The Reserve, a recently relaunched concept from Melia that features an elevated vacation experience offering adults-only and family-friendly options, is nestled within both properties.

Guests who book The Reserve concept receive concierge services, private check-in and check-out, help with reservations for activities and restaurants, private pool and beach access as well as access to special curated events.

Guests who want to upgrade to the Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real have a choice of two options: The Reserve (190 suites) or the Reserve Adults Only (146 suites).

At the Paradisus Grand Cana, The Reserve will include 108 swimup suites and Mangu, a Reserve-guests-only tropical restaurant serving breakfast and dinner.
