Bucuti & Tara in Aruba adds livestream for weddings

Engaged couples whose wedding and honeymoon plans have been in a pandemic holding pattern for more than a year have a new option for their nuptials at the adults-only Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort in Aruba.

Couples can make it official while livestreaming the event to friends and family via the resort’s Livestream Micro-wedding Experience.

While the return to travel continues to grow, coordinating a gathering for larger group travel still is complex.

“Recognizing that love does not always want to wait, our new Livestream experience lets couples proceed with their wedding while still including loved ones to share in their special day,” said Ewald Biemans, owner and CEO.

He pointed out that often for a destination wedding, many who are invited cannot attend, “so this solution lets everyone witness the ceremony.”

Bucuti’s wedding planner handles all the paperwork details prior to the wedding party touching down in Aruba.

Couples often opt for both a legal and beach ceremony, and the livestreaming is available for up to 300 participants.

The legal wedding takes place in the capitol of Oranjestad at its historical town hall. The legal-wedding fee is $794 and includes planning and coordination, local documentation handling and government fees, roundtrip transfers and authentication of the Dutch marriage certificate.

The beach ceremony after the civil ceremony includes photography, livestreaming, the bridal bouquet, groom’s boutonniere, services of an officiator, decorative arch setting and a pedestal for the certificate signing.

The price of the beach ceremony starts at $2,722.

Well-wishers also have the opportunity to send a gift to the couple through Bucuti’s online gift guide; options include private yacht excursions, coastline picnic, beach butler service or money to help pay for the trip.
