Skylark Negril Beach Resort in Jamaica has increased the number of guestrooms from 28 to 40, including 11 balcony studios, an oceanview studio and a third floor of guestrooms and suites.
All of the new rooms, which start at more than 400 square feet, embrace the resort’s knack for vibrant, tropical hues and retro design and artwork, which includes album covers of popular Jamaican musical artists. The new rooms all have king-size beds and views or glimpses of the Caribbean Sea from private balconies.
The resort has also opened a beachfront lounge at the Miss Lily’s Negril restaurant that includes daybeds and Noeli rattan lounge chairs and serves cocktails and small bites. Behind the lounge, the resort opened a game room that includes oversized chess, foosball and backgammon tables.
The Skylark Negril Beach Resort is the sister property of the well-known, cliffside Rockhouse Hotel. A 10-minute shuttle ride takes guests from the Skylark to the Rockhouse, where guests have access to the spa, bathhouse and the option to explore both properties.
