Holland America Line’s 2024 Alaska season includes a 28-day Arctic Circle cruise with 12 Alaska ports of call.
HAL chief commercial officer Beth Bodensteiner called the itinerary “the most immersive we’ve ever offered in this region.” The Westerdam departs Seattle on June 9 and calls in Anchorage (an overnight stay), Dutch Harbor, Haines (Skagway), Homer, Juneau, Ketchikan, Kodiak, Nome, Seward, Sitka, Valdez and Wrangell. Scenic cruising includes Glacier Bay, Alaska’s Inside Passage, Tracy Arm, College Fjord, Little Diomede Island, Prince William Sound and Hubbard Glacier.
HAL also will operate two 14-day Alaska cruises from Vancouver in 2024 on the Nieuw Amsterdam and Noordam. Those ships also will operate seven-day Glacier Discovery cruises between Whittier (Anchorage) and Vancouver.
Seven-day Alaska Inside Passage cruises will sail roundtrip from Vancouver on the Koningsdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam and Zaandam.
Seven-day Alaskan Explorer cruises sail roundtrip from Seattle aboard the Eurodam and Westerdam.
All ships cruising in Alaska offer expanded onboard programming. Guests can engage with an Alaska naturalist and attend presentations that explore local topics such as Alaska’s bush pilots and the Iditarod race. Cruises including Glacier Bay feature a national park ranger and local Huna Tlingit guides.
