Celebrity Cruises changes deployment plan for the Infinity

The Celebrity Infinity will resume operations this summer in the Caribbean instead of spending the season in Europe as originally planned.

The ship’s first sailings since the pandemic will launch from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale beginning June 25, when the Infinity embarks on alternating seven-day eastern and western Caribbean itineraries.

The Infinity will join the Celebrity Equinox, marking the first time Celebrity will have two ships sailing full summer Caribbean seasons from South Florida.

All itineraries will feature calls to Bimini or Nassau in the Bahamas and Key West, Fla. Eastern Caribbean sailings will visit Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Western Caribbean sailings will call at Belize City and and Cozumel, Mexico.

The Infinity will stay in the Caribbean through November before heading to Rio de Janeiro, where the ship will spend its winter season.

The Infinity was originally scheduled to operate in the Mediterranean on a series of seven-day sailings from Venice, Lisbon and Barcelona, beginning in April.
