Marriott International’s Moxy Hotels has added a sixth New York property with the debut of the new Moxy Williamsburg in Brooklyn.
The industrial-inspired property, which sits near the foot of the Williamsburg Bridge, spans 11 stories and 216 guestrooms, all with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Accommodations range in size from 165 to 210 square feet and maximize space by way of smart storage solutions like wall-mounted pegs, an open closet, under-bed cubbies and a desk that folds down from the wall. Room types include a mix of Kings, Executive Kings, Double Queens and Quad Bunks.
The Moxy Williamsburg is home to four restaurants and bars, including Tel Aviv-inspired restaurant Mesiba, cocktail bar and café Bar Bedford, nightlife spot Jolene and indoor-outdoor rooftop bar LilliStar, which will open this spring. With views of the Manhattan skyline and Williamsburg bridge, LilliStar will draw its inspiration from Indo-Aussie beach culture, serving tropical cocktails and Balinese-style barbecue.
All of the hotel’s restaurants and bars will be operated by Bar Lab Hospitality, which is known for its Broken Shaker bars in New York and Miami.
The property offers a variety of co-working spaces, including three private meeting studios. The meeting studios, which can also be combined for larger groups, are furnished with modular sofas and worktables that can be rearranged or folded away.
Rates at the Moxy Williamsburg start at $179 per night.
Moxy has more than 120 hotels worldwide.
