AMResorts has opened its first Dreams-flagged resort in Europe with the debut of the Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada Resort & Spa in the Canary Islands.
The property, which was previously flagged as the Hesperia Playa Dorada, recently underwent a $24 million renovation and officially reopened under the Dreams brand late last month.
Comprising 465 rooms, the family-friendly Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada sits on the beachfront of Playa Blanca. The property also features five restaurants, nine bars, nine heated swimming pools and a spa and fitness area as well as an Explorer’s Club activity and entertainment center for children and a Core Zone Club venue for teenagers.
In addition, the resort offers exclusive amenities for guests who have traded up to Preferred Club accommodations, including access to a Preferred Club Lounge, butler services and other Preferred Club perks.
Concurrently, AMResorts has reopened its nearby Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa after the property’s latest Covid-related temporary closure. The 355-room, adults-only resort has been operating as part of the Secrets portfolio since early 2020.
Both the Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada and Secrets Lanzarote are the product of a strategic partnership between AMResorts parent group Apple Leisure Group and Spain’s Grupo Inversor Hesperia forged back in 2018.
The launch of the Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada grows AMResorts’ branded footprint in Spain to a total of 12 properties.
