Guests will walk through the iconic green pipe to discover Peach’s Castle and the Mushroom Kingdom.
The world of Mario, Luigi and Peach will include the new Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge ride.
The technologically-advanced ride mixes artificial reality (AR) with actual set pieces and projection mapping tech on a moving backdrop.
Guests will be seated in stadium-style, four-seat vehicles as they navigate courses using the AR goggles.
Those of all ages can enjoy steering through various tracks including underwater and in the clouds while collecting coins to beat Team Bowser.
Before heading into the ride you’ll spot Mount Beanpole and walk into the massive Bowser’s Castle.
If you choose to get a Power-Up Band then you can take part in various interactive parts of the new land including keeping individual and team scores, collecting digital coins and obtaining keys after winning challenges throughout the land.
There are also fun real-life gameplay options around the land – like punching blocks to collect digital coins and using binoculars to use augmented reality tech within the land.
Guests will also be given the task of beating the four Key Challenges and collect keys from Goomba, Koopa Troopa, Piranha Plant and Thwomp.
Those wanting to dig into some food can head to Toadstool Cafe to munch on a gourmet menu perfected by Chef Toad.
Menu items include Toadstool Cheesy Garlic Knots, Super Mushroom Soup, Piranha Plant Caprese, Mario Bacon Cheeseburger, Luigi Pesto Chicken Burger, ? Block Tiramisu and Princess Peach Cupcake.
And, of course, you can buy plenty of Super Nintendo merchandise around during your stay.
More information and details will be shared soon. In the meantime, guests can visit www.UniversalStudiosHollywood.com for theme park updates.
