According to research from luxury travel company, The Thinking Traveller, British attractions are among Europe’s most crowded.
Buckingham Palace was the second most highly rated among British tourist attractions. In 2019, before the pandemic, a whopping 578,000 tourists visited the Palace while even more stopped outside the gates for a photo.
A tourist ‘Denise127’ who visited the palace in August wrote on Tripadvisor: "Try not to visit during the school holiday if you can. Very busy."

Some tourists choose to enjoy tea in the Palace gardens as part of their visit which one visitor said was a "bit chaotic" as the "palace was extremely busy".
However, despite the crowds, the majority of reviews for Buckingham Palace are very positive. The attraction has an impressive 4.5 rating on Tripadvisor.
‘Martyn R’ said: "What a great day out. Make sure to try the care, busy, but the afternoon tea box is delicious and the coffee is worth the wait."
‘P R’ said: "Having visited Buckingham Palace from the outside many times, it was lovely to be able to go inside. The stateroom tour was amazing. The Palace is truly beautiful inside and out."
Burt, many people were thrilled with the experience. One Englihman said: "Absolutely fantastic tour of the state rooms and royal news. Really informative and great self guided tour. My wife and I really enjoyed it."

Unfortunately, not all UK towns are as charming as tourists hope – especially when the British weather lets them down. In fact, some tourists have slammed a popular spot – and chosen to shell out for a trip to Turkey instead to get over their disappointment.
The beachgoers claimed that Weston-super-Mare beach in Somerset had "no deckchairs" and was "cold and wet", on Tripadvisor. They left grumpy and disappointed in their holiday – and shared their distaste online.
Ritcher on Tripadvisor wrote: "Cold, wet and extortionately expensive. 2nd day of a camping holiday with the children for 2 weeks. Cold, wet and extortionately expensive, we've given up and booked an AL holiday to Turkey and £300 cheaper, we fly out tomorrow!"
Another visitor described the beach as "Rubbish" adding: "Awful place, weather not good, pier terrible, shopping disgusting, never want to go here again, Llandudno coming back."
