Prince Harry, 38, plans to travel to Africa with his son Prince Archie to create new father-son memories, according to reports.

The Duke of Sussex said holidays to the continent helped him deal with the loss of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, who tragically died in a car accident in 1997.

Harry admitted that he feels most “at peace” in the place he intends to return with his son Archie who is now four years old.

Women’s Day sources close to the Prince said: “He’s always wanted to show his kids the continent that has been so special to him for so many years.”

“It’s here he’s felt close to his mum where he followed in her footsteps, and it’s almost a familial right that he gets the joy of showing Africa to his son.”

Prince Harry’s obvious emotion was highlighted during his previous visit to Rwanda in 2022.

The Duke of Sussex, according to sources, is eager to make up for lost time, especially after he missed out on important moments with Archie on his fourth birthday because it fell during the King’s Coronation.

It has been suggested by Harry that his son is now old enough to comprehend the once-in-a-lifetime chance to create fresh memories.

Prince Harry clearly felt a connection to his mother Diana, Princess of Wales, who frequently travelled to South Africa as part of her AIDS charitable work.

Prince Harry has said: “On my wall, and in my heart every day, is an image of my mother and Mandela meeting in Cape Town in 1997.”

The Prince also admitted: “I’ve always found hope on the continent. In fact, for most of my life, it has been my lifeline, a place where I have found peace and healing time and time again.”

“It’s where I’ve felt closest to my mother and sought solace after she died, and where I knew I had found a soulmate in my wife.”

These happy memories seem to be enduring since Harry intends to share them with his firstborn child.

When Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary series first aired last year, it included the children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

However, Harry may work alone on the new initiative, which means he won’t have Meghan come along.

The Duchess of Sussex is rumoured to be staying at home with their youngest child, Princess Lilbet.

The family of four live in Montecito, Santa Barbara in California, in a home that’s estimated to cost £9.1million.
