Affordable accommodation options were deemed important by 48 percent of parents when planning their perfect staycation. A good selection of restaurants and cafes (47 percent) and free or inexpensive days out (44 percent) were also key considerations.
Moreover, 66 percent of respondents stated that the availability of free activities in the chosen destination played a significant role in their staycation planning process.
