Oregon’s coastline is like nowhere else in the US. It’s more than 300 miles long and every turn along the coast reveals another sensational view.
There are jagged peaks covered in pines and firs, rocky outcrops, sandy beaches, rolling surf, and golden sand dunes. It’s the dream place to park up and spend a few days exploring this extraordinary coast overlooking the wild Pacific.
On the south coast, Gold Beach is home to the Honey Bear by the Sea RV Resort and Campground, just off Route 101.
Blag yourself a site with a view over the ocean at this campsite that welcomes all the family – including the pooch. The sites have full hook-ups with 20/30/50 amp electrics, water, sewerage, and even trash removal.
There’s even a picnic table with benches at each site meaning you won’t have to bring your own table.

There is also an onsite restaurant, Bear’s Bar & Grill with large windows to take in the coast view if you fancy a night off cooking. After your meal, you could challenge the family to a game of table tennis or even table football, while others may just prefer to have an after-dinner drink at one in one of the leather banquettes.
When it comes to the little ones, there’s an amusement park with a slide – even a mini climbing wall and they’ll just love spotting the wild Elk that roam freely across the site.
There are many different pitches to choose from – from the more secluded tucked amongst the trees to those overlooking the Pacific. As it’s spread out, it feels more like a neighborhood than a campsite with pitches spaced very close to each other.
