An unassuming post office is hiding one of Lancashire's best kept secrets – a quaint, family-run coffee shop that serves drinks and cake.
From the outside, the Newburgh Post Office looks like any other, a place where people can post letters and parcels or pick up a book of stamps.
However, inside the building lies the coffee shop, where customers can enjoy a snack and hot drink before making their way home again.
They even sell thoughtfully curated gift boxes, as well as fresh bloomers and groceries.
2Chilluser Gemma J described the family-run business as "extremely welcoming", rating it five stars.
She said: “Newburgh Post Office Store and Coffee Shop is a lovely little spot to grab freshly ground coffee, delicious homemade cake and fresh bread. The small independent business is very popular with passing cyclists and people in the village. Owners Gaynor, Denis and their family are extremely welcoming and also run the post office.”
There’s even an outdoor seating area, which makes for the perfect place to grab a book and a latte with love-heart coffee art.
Inside, visitors will find a shop selling more than your average post office, and they even sell their own hand-picked gift boxes filled with bottles of alcohol, chocolates and homeware.
Gemma added: “They offer a well-stocked shop with anything you might need including fresh groceries, flowers, cards, candles and gifts including their own curated gift boxes. Well worth a visit if you're passing through!”
