Most daring eating challenges in UK – including baby-sized burrito & 96oz steak

People often brag amongst mates that they could win any eating challenge there is. Now they have the opportunity to put their money where their mouth is

2Chill has created a list of the biggest and boldest eating challenges you can try out, all of them in Bristol.

This list includes some heavy-hitting meals, like a burrito the same weight as a baby and a 96oz steak.

El Criminal, Mission Burrito

62 Park St, Bristol, BS1 5JN

This Mexican eating challenge is enough to make you say “¡Hasta luego!” to burritos for life!

Equal to the weight of a newborn baby, Mission Burrito’s 5lb colossal burrito is loaded with three meats, rice, beans, pico de gallo, lettuce and cheese, and “smothered like only a criminal would with sour cream and salsas”.

Because nobody ever says no to nachos, the hot ‘n’ spicy burrito is served on a foot-long bed of nacho chips. If you fail to finish every last one, you will have to pay £25.

Complete it, and you’ll be rewarded with a T-shirt and a claim to fame on the Heroes Roll of Honour. So far, only one person has finished El Criminal in Bristol. Could you be the second?

96oz Steak Challenge, The Ashville Steakhouse

15 Leigh St, Southville, Bristol, BS3 1SN

Talk about meat sweats!

This challenge is one you cannot underestimate. It is so mighty and meaty that two of the world’s strongest men have even failed.

To beat their attempt, you will need to stomach a 96oz steak, with five sides of onion rings, triple cooked chips, garlic bread, vegetables and salad, topped with peppercorn and Béarnaise sauce.

The 96oz Steak Challenge costs £110 to take on, or it’s free for those that can wash it down with a pint in under an hour!

So many people have tried to defeat it, but only one person has succeeded – a professional eater from the Czech Republic.

You have one hour to finish: a BARE Grill burger, full rack of ribs, smoked brisket, pulled pork, chicken wings, smoked sausage, dirty bacon fries, onion rings, dirty burnt end fries, two bread rolls and two corn on the cobs. Can you do it?

If you polish off everything on the plate (excluding bones) within the 60-minute time frame, you get your meal for free. If you fail, it’s £45!

And don’t try to bring an eating buddy – this one’s all on your own.

No cheating, no substitutions and no swaps. The decision of the Pitmaster is final!
