‘I have 10 sugar daddies who take me on luxury holidays and pay me £200 a date’

A woman who makes money as a “sugar baby” says rich men whisk her off on holidays, shopping trips and luxury dates.

Charlotte Davies, from Ealing in West London, was in an eight-year-long relationship until summer last year.

And after it ended, she decided to look into the world of sugar daddies who pay young, hot women after seeing it on a TV show.

In January this year, the 24-year-old started using an app that connects wealthy men with young women. The sugar babies are paid hundreds of pounds to go on dinner dates, luxury holidays and even for sex.

Charlotte, a social media marketing executive, explained her situation on TikTok on March 31. She claims she is handed money “literally just to exist” and is taken to “amazing places without spending a penny”.

She commented: "At the time, I'd gotten out of an eight-year-long relationship, so I knew that I didn't want to get into anything serious anytime soon. The only dating I was doing was very casual, so I just thought that this was like what I'm doing anyway – except I wasn't getting paid for it.

"I feel like the kind of vibe you have with a lot of these people is that it's almost like a friends-with-benefits type situation. It's a very mutually beneficial agreement.”

The young woman’s sugar daddies have forked out for first class travel, drinks, hotels and pay her £200 per date on top. The Londoner, who is raking it in from her 10 sugar daddies claims that the Ruch businessmen and bankers are actually “really nice people”.

She also noted that she enjoys having the “benefits of a traditional relationship without the commitment.” Charlotte also says she feels more respected by her 10 patrons – far more than she did by men from conventional dating apps who dated casually.

Charlotte noted: “You almost wouldn't expect it because of the nature of the arrangement, but I do feel more respected by these men than by the men I've had the misfortune to date in the past. I don't know if it's just me having been unlucky with the guys I've chosen in the past, but there's something about guys who are slightly older who seem to have seen more of life and have realised what's important.

"It feels like it's almost a lot of the benefits of a traditional, serious relationship, but without the commitment, which is what I don't want at the moment."

Charlotte goes on one to two dates with each sugar daddy per week and noted that she enjoys boosting their self-esteem. The sugar baby noted that the feeling is mutual and she finds the arrangement beneficial for both sides.

She explained: “They're all really nice people, and they're normally quite a bit older than me. A lot of them are in their late thirties, up to their forties. I dated one guy once who was 63. Sometimes they'll take me shopping and pay for everything, or take me to spas, and I actually went to Paris a few weeks ago.

"Travelling is something that I love anyway that I can't afford to do a lot of the time, so it was really lovely to have everything paid for – plus getting paid to travel, which is amazing. A lot of them are a bit socially awkward and shy, so it can be a bit of a challenge to get people to open up, but it's something that I enjoy trying to do. At the same time as well, it makes me feel really good and confident seeing these people.”

She added: "The guys I meet up with are all so complimentary, and I think maybe it comes from the fact that a lot of them have quite upsetting home lives or are quite lonely. It feels like it means a lot to them when you see them. It feels like you're adding a lot of value to their life, which is really nice.

Paris can be an expensive destination for anyone heading on a romantic trip. According to Statista, the average hotel room costs from 146 euros to over 187 euros per night. Charlotte stays in luxury accommodation though which can cost much much more.

Plus, popping Champagne and dining at fine restaurants is sure to set you back. Even a pint in Paris will cost an average of £5.86 according to Finder.

Charlotte is not only accepting luxury trips from her sugar daddies but also saving up their payments to travel further. She also wants to buy her own house – and says she wouldn’t stop seeing the men if she found a new boyfriend.

Charlotte said: "I'm always assessing and reassessing whether this is the right thing for me, and if it ever stops being the right thing for me, I would end my arrangements. I'm saving for more travel trips in the future and saving to buy a house one day, and it's massively helping me.

"I would definitely say that it's something I really enjoy. I can't see it stopping anytime soon. The only thing that would make me stop would be if I met someone who I wanted to be in a serious monogamous relationship with.

"If so, I'd end my arrangements with my sugar daddies. Until that happens, it's something that really suits my way of life right now. It suits everything that I want out of life, and I get that little financial boost where I can save and fund things that I want to do."

Brits who want to splash out and head to Paris themselves can book a weekend at the Hôtel de la Tour Eiffel in July for £416 – that's £208 per person between two. The gorgeous hotel is just 750metres from the famous Eiffel Tower meaning you'll walk out to incredible views each day and easy access to the sights.

Those who don't have a sugar daddy to pay for their accommodation can also do Paris on the cheap. A night in July at the Ideal Hotel in the centre of Paris will cost from £34 per person based on two sharing a room on booking.com.
