Emirates flight attendant living ‘dream life’ without paying tax or rent

A woman claims she’s been able to live her "dream life" working as an Emirates flight attendant. She pays no income tax and doesn’t even have to pay rent thanks to the airline.

Alexandra Cosoff, 33, has seriously cashed in thanks to her life in the skies with the fancy carrier. She lives in Dubai and gets accommodation provided for her!

She explained to news.com.au: "Our accommodation is provided and salary is tax-free – and not just that, we have a lot of other things taken care of like transport, laundry, we have full medical and dental coverage. We are very well looked after.

"What was very attractive to me was also not paying tax on top of my salary. I live in my own apartment. You can either get company-provided accommodation or opt for accommodation allowance."

So, with no rent, insurance, transport, taxes or even laundry to pay for what does an Emirates flight attendant earn? Well, a base salary rate amounts to about £1,700 a month, according to Cabin Crew Wings.

Alexandra doesn’t have to pay a penny in income tax – but don’t worry it’s perfectly legal! Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates does not levy any tax on income.

There’s also no sales tax on most goods and services. So you get to keep your entire wage and not pay out to the government.

You’re also generally given layover allowances where you’ve given cash whenever you’re in another nation. It should cover the cost of three meals and a snack while out – but many workers save the money instead and just eat instant noodles or other cheap foods.

Flight attendants who work in the higher classes – like business and first – are paid more than economy workers. Luckily for Alexandra she no longer has to work in cattle class.

She noted: "After I joined, I started in economy class for one and half years, before I got promoted to business class and the business promotions events team. I have been so lucky. I’ve had the most amazing time."

Alexandra claims se’s not living a "dream come true" and loves travelling the world, meeting new people and paying no taxes! We're not surprised that it's a good deal especially during the rising cost of living.

Plenty of people have decided to move abroad to escape the spiralling costs of life here in the UK. Ben, 30, from Epping in Essex decided to leave Britain and start a new life in Australia where he met his wife.

They say that their salaries are "much higher" and that rent is cheaper. They've even been able to build their own home in the gorgeous County Victoria. He told Daily Star: "Comparing where I live now to what I could get where I was from in the UK is miles apart.

"We actually built our house which tells you how much space there is in Australia, especially in Country Victoria where we currently live."
