We Brits love a @atlantadelivers abroad and experiencing sun, sand, sea and new foods. But, it can be expensive to always dine out when away so sometimes a cheap fast food meal is ideal.

A pair of tourists recently decided to do just that and head to McDonald’s in British holiday hotspot Benidorm. They discovered that the usually familiar burger bar actually had a number of surprising options to try while in Spain.

TikTok creator Atlanta, @atlantadelivers, racked up a whopping 20,900 likes on her lunchtime video. She showed off the unusual menu items to her 66k followers.

In the clip, Atlanta said: "You couldn’t get a better McDonald’s if you tried. Benidorm McDonald’s – let’s go and get some food."

Atlanta panned the camera to show the McDonald’s which had great views and an outdoor patio for diners to enjoy the sunshine. Then she flaunted the fun dishes she ordered from the American chain in Spain.

Atlanta said: "Food is here. Honey mustard chicken burger – the best thing ever. Cheese and bacon fries and my mums got that without the bacon."

The foodie showed the loaded fries which were topped with little bacon pieces and plenty of fake American cheese sauce. But, her mum ordered an unusual healthy option.

She commented: "[Mum’s got] a goat’s cheese salad that she really liked last time. Coke Zero and a Fanta."

Browsing the Spanish menu online there's plenty of unique dishes you can't get in Britain. They have the spicy nuggets that made a brief show in the UK as well as, the Double MCExtreme BBQ Bourbon burger which has beef patties, bacon, a fried egg, smoked cheese, crispy onions and a whiskey BBQ sauce. Delicious! There’s also the CBO – chicken bacon and onion, a three cheese burger, chicken wraps and a McFish.

The breakfast menu includes potato omelette sandwiches, toast with Iberian ham and toast with just oil and tomato. There’s a Caesar salad on the lunchtime menu, McShaker flavoured fries, potato wedges and chicken wings.

You can even bag a white chocolate sundae, bottled cold soup and share boxes! Sounds like our kind of place!

In the comments, fans were impressed but the meal with many saying the staff at the venue are "lush" and that they "love" the Benidorm McDonald's.

One person said: "Anyone else reckon McDonald's are just pranking us in the UK cause everywhere else absolutely slaps?"

While another wrote: "I had the same order last time I was in Spain the burger is elite." A man added: "I loved that McDonald's! It was unreal!"

Atlanta clarified that they also serve beer at the McDonald's in Spain which impressed plenty of holiday fans. One person joked that it was "authentic Spanish McDonald's."

However, not everyone thought that the Benidorm McDonald's was the best in the world. One person said it was "not as good as the UK" while another noted that the Palmanova was better and another said Lanzarote has the best food.

Meanwhile, our reporter visited the most beautiful McDonald's in the world. The glamorous venue has stained glass features and chandeliers, and a menu that includes luxury items like truffle burgers.

Benidorm sees tens of thousands of UK residents jet to the town each year. Not only are flights cheap but there are 88p pints, plenty of entertainment and a gorgeous beach.

You can also apparently get a fry up for just £2.50 – which is cheaper than chips! Recently, one Benidorm resident claimed that Brits always make one mistake when they head to the Spanish town.

Michelle Baker – who has lived in Spain for 40 years – is encouraging visitors to the UK to follow her sensible advice – but she fears they will ignore it. She warns tourists not to be a "first day fool" and avoid ruining their holiday with one major slip up.
