As the UK basks under sunshine, it’s the perfect time to get out and explore the British coastline.
Although Cornwall is usually at the top of British tourists’ wishlists, Pembrokeshire’s beaches are actually some of the UK’s best.
The expert team at Tŷ Hotel Milford Waterfront claimed there’s one beautiful lagoon that’s a dead ringer for Turkey’s famous Blue Lagoon.
The Blue Lagoon in Turkey’s Olu Deniz is one of the country’s most breathtaking hotspots and draws thousands of tourists every year.
However, Britons only need to travel to Pembrokeshire in Wales to find an equally beautiful and much quieter lagoon.
Pembrokeshire’s Blue Lagoon is the ruins of a small slate quarry which was ruined when it was flooded by the sea.
The resulting lagoon is a breathtaking spot which now forms an “adventure playground” for tourists.
A spokesperson from the hotel said: “The 25m deep blue pool is a great place to swim and paddleboard or simply take in the glorious coastline.”

A tourist, ‘GloriaGeneKelly’ who visited the lagoon, said: “Beautiful place! This was such an amazing place!”
Another visitor ‘Caroline B’ wrote: “Simply stunning! Visited on a gloomy grey day so I wasn’t expecting it to be so beautiful but it truly was.”
Summer is the perfect time to check out the Blue Lagoon as it usually closes from September to November to protect breeding seals.
