Ethiopian Air opens hotel within Addis Ababa airport: Travel Weekly

Ethiopian Airlines Group has opened the Ethiopian Skylight In-Terminal Hotel, a five-star, in-terminal hotel at Addis Ababa Bole Airport. The hotel is physically connected to Departure Terminal 02, a short walk to the departure gate.

The hotel construction started in December 2020 and will be completed in two phases. The first phase has been completed with 41 rooms now available. The second phase will include another 56 rooms, a restaurant and other facilities and is scheduled to be completed in October this year.

The rooms will be divided into various categories such as an executive suite, a premium room for disabled guests, 12 interconnected rooms, 30 twin rooms and 53 double rooms.

Following the completion of the first phase, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew said, “The construction of an in-terminal hotel takes transit at Addis Ababa to the next level. It addresses the industry’s demand and leads us to plan and create efficient and seamless connectivity to enhance the comfort of passengers.”
