Cruise guests could “ruin their trip” by making an easy packing mistake, according to a cruise expert.
Yasmin Pekel, owner and CEO of Blue Cruise, told Express.co.uk how new cruise guests can avoid making a mistake.
She said: “Check the weather forecast. You can view a 28 day forecast for most countries online, or check the weather forecast for the same date in previous years.
“This information will help you to pack appropriately. Being unprepared can ruin your trip, especially if the weather is colder than you anticipated.”
The weather can change quickly, particularly if guests are visiting a lot of destinations on one trip.

Although a destination might be sunny during the day, it can be cold and windy on the deck in the evenings.
Guests who want to spend the evening stargazing or watching the sun go down may want to bring a jacket even if they’re holidaying in a warm destination.
Yasmin added: “Remember, most cruises will have shopping areas where you can purchase new clothing, but these tend to be quite expensive, so bring some emergency layers just in case!”

Britons will also need to check their passports and other travel documents are in date before heading off on a cruise.
Yasmin said: “Many countries require you to have at least six months remaining on your passport before you visit.
“Check your passport when you book the cruise, especially if your journey is within the next few months.
“Being prepared and making sure that your passport and visas are up to date is essential, and make sure you’re up to date on any health requirements, like vaccines.”
Britons will need to check the individual rules for each destination they visit as these can vary widely.
Tourists can find the latest rules and advice on the British Government Travel Advice website.
