Atlas Ocean Voyages has appointed Kirk Anthony to lead its southeast regional sales from the Carolinas to the Florida Keys, including the Gulf Coast states.
Anthony’s tenure includes three years at Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) and 13 years at Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises. Anthony most recently worked in hospitality sales management at Miami-based Seafair Mega Yachts and the Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa in Alabama.

Atlas has shaken up its leadership team in recent months. CEO James Rodriguez, formerly one of Oceania’s founding management team members, took the helm in August. Rodriguez has since hired Tanya Springer, another Oceania veteran, as Atlas’ vice president of sales.
Rene Serphos, most recently the controller and VP of accounting for Paradise Cruise Line Management (better known as Margaritaville at Sea), was appointed last week as Atlas’ VP of finance. Serphos has worked as the corporate hotel controller for NCL and Carnival Cruise Line.
The new cruise brand introduced its first ship, the World Navigator, in August 2021 and took delivery of its second ship, the 200-guest World Traveller, on Oct. 7. Both ships will officially be named on Nov. 20 before the Traveller begins a series of Antarctica expeditions. The Traveller will then reposition via the Canary Islands to Europe for 7- to 10-day voyages in the Mediterranean.
