The first Black Travel Expo is coming to Atlanta this October to serve Blacks interested in learning more about the industry, plan their vacation and meet leaders in travel.
Organizers said it is the only Black travel consumer and trade expo in North America.
The event will take place Oct. 14-17 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. The event’s keynote speakers include Travel Channel host Kellee Edwards; Evita Robinson, founder of Nomadness Travel Tribe; Stephanie Jones, founder of the National Blacks in Travel and Tourism Collaborative; Denella Ri’chard, executive producer and television host of “Traveling with Denella Ri’chard,” and Jay Cameron, founder and CEO of Maximum Impact.
Maurice Foley, founder and CEO of the Black Travel Expo, created the event after a 2020 MMGY Global report in partnership with the Black Travel Alliance revealed the need for Black travel events. According to the report, Black leisure travelers spent $109.4 billion on travel in 2019.
Registration is open for the early bird price of $99. Exhibitors can sign up and sponsorship opportunities are available.
