Around 100,000 people are expected to fly from the UK to Spain this week despite the country being classified as an “amber destination”.
Brits have been warned not to go on holiday by officials and those who go to an amber country will need to quarantine upon return.
Government rules state you “should not travel to amber list countries or territories”.
And the Prime Minister asked the people of the UK only to visit such countries for essential work or family-related needs.
If you do visit an amber country you will need to quarantine for 10 days when you return and take Covid tests on day two and day eight.

You may be able to end quarantine early if you pay for a private COVID-19 test through the Test to Release scheme.
However, around 30 flights which go directly to Spain will fly out today and that number rises to 65 tomorrow.
After news that the Spanish government had give the green-light for UK tourists to enter the county a rush of bookings followed.
Now, analysis by the Daily Mirror shows that around 16,000 passengers a day will fly out to the sunny destination.
And, beaches and local hotspots are getting busier as domestic travel restrictions and curfews in Spain are eased.
Business Minister Anne-Marie Trevelyan told Sky News that the amber designation means you should not go “unless there is an urgent family reason and so on.”
She added: “We are still trying to slowly move through our road map to being able to open up on June 21 and we want to do that in a steady and careful way.
“At the moment, today, that means amber countries really aren’t safe to go to.”

She also told Times Radio: “The reality is, at the moment, amber countries are still not meeting the criteria for our scientists to say that they should be green.”
According to the L3Harris Airline Academy, one in five Brits plan to travel within the next three months while 20% said they had already booked flights to Spain or would visit one restrictions ease.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said last week: “Spain will be delighted, very delighted to welcome all British tourists.
“They are welcome to our country without restrictions and without health requirements.”
