Holidaymakers have been hit by holiday hell over the school holidays this week with Leeds Bradford airport being the latest to experience carnage.

Chaos continued this morning, June 2, after reports yesterday of Brits queueing for “miles” outside of the airport.

Airport goers claimed to have queued from 4.45am to avoid missing flights, reported LeedsLive.

While others tried to arrive up to four hours before their flight.

Many claim they have been pulled out of the enormous queues by staff or else they wouldn’t have made it to the gate on time.

One passenger who arrived at Leeds Bradford Airport at 3.45am this morning, Katy, said: "I’ll admit it was chaos, but I arrived just as the security queue was heading outside the terminal.

"My flight departure is 07:35 and I arrived at 03:45. I had fast track security, I queued about 25 minutes. Spoke with people in the regular queue who had been there two hours already.

"Jet2 have been pulling people from queues and the terminal staff are on the ball. I’m flying Jet2 and had no qualms, no flights are being cancelled and delays aren’t too severe.”

Katy, who lives 15 minutes from the airport, added: "I only arrived early because Ubers were scarce. My Uber driver actually told me they’re avoiding accepting airport rides because of the back up of passengers in car parks make it hard for them."

People also took to Twitter to share their frustration at Leeds Bradford Airport this morning.

One person describes it as “shameful.”

@1661peter said: "The queues were horrendous this morning… but don’t worry, turn up late and they will fast track you past all the people who were organised and followed the advice."

@MoBobat added: "Jet2 check-in at Leeds Bradford Airport a breeze at 4am (for 7am flight). Long queue for security. Fast Track queue shorter & steady. Airport staff brilliant at pulling people out before they miss their flights."
