Inside Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s cruise with go-karting and epic water park

A brand new cruise ship has launched with a superstar line up of supporters who rave about the Norwegian vessel.

The Norwegian Prima has stunning singer Katy Perry as its “Godmother” and the star and her husband, actor Orlando Bloom were recently spotted on deck.

Katy chose the name of the enormous ship and sailed to Reykjavik in Iceland on the Prima.

The hit-maker was spotted on Instagram waving the racing flag for the drivers on the Prima Speedway – a three storey go-karting track on the ship itself.

During the inaugural voyage of the ship, Katy and Orlando were seen together looking loved up on the Norwegian Prima’s deck.

But, what else is there about this incredible cruise ship that made Katy stamp her name on it?

The Prima is a massive 965ft ship that accommodates ip to 3,100 guests and is created to be large and spacious.

On board there’s a private beach club called The Haven where guests can experience a 24-hour butler service, sea views and an infinity pool.

To get access to The Haven you’ll need to stay in the exclusive quarter of 107 suits that’s been dubbed a “ship within a ship” – each has a hot tub and can cost up to £29,800 per sailing.

There’s also a new spa and fitness centre with state-of-the-art pools, a two storey waterfall and plenty of relaxing treatments and a sauna.

As well as the Speedway there’s plenty to do on-board from the Tee Time tech-immersive mini golf to Bull’s Eye where you can play high tech darts games.

There’s also a 10-storey waterslide, a children’s aqua park and a tidal wave waterslide by the infinity hot tubs.

The Stadium lets you play complimentary games of shuffleboard, pickle ball, sub soccer and beer pong while the Galaxy Pavilion is the world’s first flying theatre simulator at sea.

You can try everything from escape rooms to racing simulators in the virtual gaming world.

After that, head to the infinity pools that blend into the ocean thanks to their glass sides while you can watch the water under your feat on Oceanwalk – Norwegians first glass walkway at sea.

Those wanting to see some incredible art can head to The Concourse where interactive art worth a total of £1.7million has been installed.

A further £3.5million of painting and sculptures have been placed around the ship to delight your eyes.

Guests wanting traditional cruise entertainment can head to the casino or to the Prima Theatre and Club – a Vegas-style nightclub that’s awake day and night.

Enjoy the musical theatre and bands while on board or hit up Improv at Sea – the comedy show on the waves.

Foodies will be thrilled with the Prima as you can shoe down on everything from seafood to Teppanyaki, French cuisine, Mexican street food, sushi and sashimi, Italian classics, and more.

There are a total of 35 restaurants and bars on board so after you’ve dined at one of the 11 eateries you can swing round a few others for a tipple – at some you can even order your drinks using a tablet.

The Norwegian Prima runs a number of routes for you to choose from.

Setting off from Southampton in the UK you can enjoy an 11-day cruise through Northern Europe from £1,749 per person.
