Widespread cancellations have extended into a fifth day at Spirit Airlines.
Through 1:20 p.m. Eastern time, the carrier had cancelled 52% of its Thursday schedule, according to FlightAware.
Those 410 cancellations followed back-to-back days in which Spirit canceled more than 60% of its schedule. The discount carrier also canceled 42% of its flights on Monday and 20% of its flights on Sunday.

Spirit didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday. On Wednesday, the airline issued a public apology to customers while attributing this week’s operational meltdown to overlapping factors, including weather, system outages and staffing shortages, which have combined to impact crew scheduling.
Spirit also said Wednesday that crew cancellations would progressively drop in the coming days as it reassigns crew and restores its network.
