Tour operators extend China cancellations over coronavirus

Several major tour operators have extended their cancellations of group tours to China through the end April due to the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak.

Abercrombie & Kent, Trafalgar and Globus said this week that they have canceled all departures through April 30.

Tauck, meanwhile, says it has  canceled four early-April tours in China.  For its  additional  five departures to China in late April and May, the company said it is allowing guests to change to either a later 2020 date or switch to different destination or Cruise.

Likewise, Trafalgar said it is offering guests with trips to or including China in the next 90 days the opportunity to change their dates or cancel and receive a credit for a future trip.

“We are closely monitoring this evolving situation and keeping in close contact with our in-destination partners; and as soon as we are able to do so, look forward to bringing travelers back to China,” Trafalgar said in statement.
