Margaritaville Island Reserve resort in D.R. now has an adults-only section: Travel Weekly

The Dominican Republic’s Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana has split into two, repositioning itself with the launch of family and adults-only sections.

The all-inclusive property opened in late 2021 welcoming children throughout the entire resort.

In its new iteration, the Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana now features a family-friendly section called the Wave and an adults-only area called the Hammock.

Guests staying in the Wave section have access to seven room types, the Parakeet Kids Club and a pool and splash pad.

Guests in the Hammock section have access to 13 room types and several adults-only restaurants and bars, including the A-lam-bik restaurant, Rum Runners pool club and 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar.

For a limited time, the Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana is offering 50% off adults-only Hammock section stays and family-friendly Wave section stays, with kids able to stay free when sharing Wave accommodations with two adults. These promotions are running through Oct. 16, applicable for travel happening between Nov. 1 and Jan. 2, 2024.

The Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana is part of the Karisma Hotels & Resorts portfolio.
