Jumeirah to run Capri Palace hotel

Jumeirah Group is taking over management of Capri Palace on the
Italian island of Capri. Jumeirah plans to reflag the property as the Capri
Palace Jumeirah when the hotel reopens for the season this April.

The 68-room hotel, which opened in the 1960s, will receive
various “upgrades and refurbishments,” according to Jumeirah. 

Drawing inspiration from eighteenth-century Neapolitan
architecture, Capri Palace is known for white-washed walls and airy interiors
as well as an extensive historic and contemporary art collection. Works by De
Chirico, Keith Haring and Pomodoro, among others, can be found throughout the

Additionally, Capri Palace boasts a pair of Michelin-starred
restaurants. They include the Mediterranean-inspired L’Olivo, which has been
awarded two stars, and Il Riccio, a private beach club venue that specializes
in seafood and currently holds one star. 

The property is also home to the Capri Beauty Farm medical
spa facility, where research and treatments are led by professor Francesco

The Capri Palace Jumeirah will be the sixth property in
Jumeirah’s European portfolio, joining the Jumeirah Frankfurt, Jumeirah Port
Soller in Mallorca and the Jumeirah Lowndes, Grosvenor House Suites Jumeirah and
Carlton Tower Jumeirah in London.
