ASTA contest asks travelers to share stories of vacations gone wrong

ASTA has launched a consumer contest, “Vacation Do
Over,” in which one winner will go on their dream vacation worth up to $10,000,
planned by a travel advisor.

ASTA is asking consumers to share a story of a vacation gone
wrong via a submission form on
its consumer-facing website, TravelSense.org, by July 19. ASTA also wants
entrants to submit a video of themselves. Then, they are asked to follow
TravelSense.org on Instagram or Facebook and share one of its “Vacation Do
Over” posts on their Instagram or Facebook page.

The winner, to be announced Aug. 1, will get a trip planned
by an ASTA member advisor.

“You can avoid costly disasters and booking mistakes
when working with a professional,” ASTA said in a statement. “To illustrate
this point, we’re asking contestants to share their worst travel disasters.”
