Travelodge is opening more of its new ‘luxe budget’ hotels

Travelodge is opening SIX new hotels across the UK – and that includes more of its new 'luxe budget' rooms for Brits after cheap staycations.

The budget hotel chain will be opening four hotels in London – Docklands, Lewisham, Peckham and Wimbledon – as well as one in Braintree, Essex, and another in Hexham.

Hexham, London Docklands and Wimbledon will be the first of the brands 'luxe budget' hotels complete with updated receptions, restaurants and rooms.

The revamped rooms, which the chain says will have a "new budget-luxe premium look", come with perks such as king-sized beds with a box bed frame fitted with softer lights, as well as bedside reading lights and USB charging points. Other features include blackout curtains, a 'cosy statement armchair', a TV with Freeview, and complimentary tea and coffee facilities.

For those feeling peckish, each of the hotels will feature a Bar Café with dedicated zones to divide business travellers and holidaymakers. (Essentially, a choice between the likes of counter seating, booths and dining benches for big groups).

The new hotels come alongside the brand's plan to give 60 of its UK hotels a makeover, in what the group's Chief Executive has said will be its "most radical transformation to date".

Hotels will be given a fresh lick of paint, new artwork, and updated carpets, made from recycled fishing nets.

Receptions are also getting a makeover with new panels, lighting, benches and floors.

Five hotels already underwent the transformation earlier this year, including London's Southwark, Vauxhall and Wembley locations, as well as the Southampton hotel and Thame hotel.

If you are looking for a budget hotel stay this summer, then you're in luck as Travelodge has just launched a huge sale with rooms going for £32 or less.

The deals are valid on one million rooms, and stays through to September 23, 2022, so you've got plenty of opportunity to snap up a cheap room.

You can check out the deals and book on travelodge.co.uk/hotel-deals.
