Cyprus is a popular holiday destination for Brits and is exempt from the FCO advice against all non-essential international travel from the UK. However, at present Brits are not allowed to travel to Cyprus from the UK. Jet2 has cancelled all holidays and flights to Cyprus, even though the FCO advice approves of Brits going to the island. So what about easyJet?
Can I go to Cyprus?
Cyprus has not allowed entry to anyone who has been in the UK in the previous 14 days.
However, the island has decided to move the UK from a high-risk country to a slightly lower-risk country.
From August 1, the UK will be moved to category B.
This means Brits WILL be allowed to visit Cyprus from the UK, but will need to follow strict requirements.

If you choose to visit Cyprus from this date, you’ll need to provide a negative coronavirus test on arrival, obtained within 72 hours before travel.
The results can be in the form of an email or text, but must include the date and time when the test was taken.
It must also state the type of test, which should be PCR.
All holidaymakers must also complete a Cyprus Flight Pass before setting off, and you must present this prior to boarding and on arrival at immigration.
Are easyJet flying to Cyprus?
The strict entry requirements forced easyJet to cancel all flights to the island.
EasyJet grounded its entire fleet of planes back in March but resumed some activity on June 15.
The airline is currently not flying to Cyprus, with all flights to the island cancelled.
A spokesperson for easyJet said earlier this month: “Because of the restriction we have made the decision to cancel all UK-Cyprus flying until August 1.
“Customers are being notified and informed of their options which includes a free of charge transfer, a voucher for the value of their booking or a refund.”

The budget airline advises that it is the responsibility of the customer to check foreign travel advice before booking.
While you are able to travel to Cyprus from August 1, the trip isn’t totally risk-free.
If travel restrictions are reimposed and Brits are no longer allowed in Cyprus, you will be forced to return home.
If the UK goes back into lockdown, you will also need to return home.
