For Starbucks drinkers, there's one event that officially kicks off the holiday season: The release of the coffee chain's winter menu—and famous festive cups, of course. Well, that day has officially come. Starbucks just announced its new line of drinks and treats for the upcoming season, plus the return of its free red reusable cups.
Beginning Thursday, November 7, customers will be able to order their favorite holiday beverage, including the peppermint mocha, toasted white chocolate, caramel brûlée latte, chestnut praline latte, and the eggnog latte, from all stores. Whether you order a seasonal option or stick to your usual drink, all beverages until early January will be served in one of the four new recyclable paper cups intended "to evoke mini moments of joy," according to a news release. "We came up with this idea of wrapping the stores in holiday joy and wrapping the cups like a gift to our partners and customers," Jen Quotson, vice president of Starbucks Creative, says in the release. "We wanted coming to Starbucks to be like uncovering a present."
Those joyful prints include polka dots—a traditional Starbucks red cup with green dots and small Sirens; merry dance—a white cup with red and green "dancing" letters; merry stripes—a green cup with small white letters that looks like vintage wrapping paper; and candy cane stripe—a red-and-white-striped cup with green letters.
Additionally, on November 7 only, all grande holiday drinks come in a free limited edition red reusable cup. As a bonus, if you bring in and refill your reusable cup any day after that 2 p.m., you'll get $.50 off all grande sized holiday beverages. (Talk about the gift that keeps on giving.) The offer is going on until January 7 or while supplies last.
Also launching November 7 are Starbucks' seasonal food items, including the holiday turkey and stuffing panini, cranberry bliss bar, sugar plum danish, snowman cookie, gingerbread loaf, peppermint brownie cake pop, and snowman cake pop. Just like the pumpkin spice latte and other fall favorites, these options will only be on the menu for a limited time, so you better head to your closest store while everything is still available.
