You can hang out with alpacas and llamas at this dreamy Airbnb treehouse

Waking up in a beautiful forest treehouse surrounded by friendly animals sounds a bit like the start of a children's book.

But it's very much a reality at the Atlanta Alpaca Treehouse in the Bamboo Forest , where guests can do exactly that.

Tucked away amidst the towering bamboo sits a luxury treehouse where guests can stay overnight.

Oh, and you get to hang out with llamas and alpacas too!

The treehouse in Atlanta in the state of Georgia, USA, is actually on the site of a working farm, where the furry animals roam.

Paloma Piper, Caitlin Tastee, Elfie Fay Von Picklesprite, Sunny Shevoun, Dali Llama and Llama Mia Figaro (Figgy) all get to roam around the forest floor, grazing and living a leisurely lifestyle.

The group of friendly Bolivian suri alpacas (think small llamas with dreadlocks) and llamas, are also looking to hang out with guests and make friends.

You can spend the day mingling with the animals or watching them from the treehouse's outdoor terrace.

The accommodation itself is pretty swanky too.

We're talking antique furniture, luxurious bedding, a marble bathtub and oodles of space (and there's also AC/heating as well as power so you don't need to go completely off the grid).

Take in the views from the cosy living area, or look up to the large skylight found in the loft bedroom.

There's even a swinging rope bed decked out with a slew of comfy pillows and a full sized mattress!

Sound like your dream destination? You're going to need to splash the cash if you want to stay, with prices starting from £298 per night on Airbnb .

Still, it can be quite a good base if you're looking to explore the area.

The urban farm is right by East Atlanta Village where you'll find heaps of restaurants, bars and shops, and there are easy transport links to wander a little further afield.
