Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort unveils event pavilion: Travel Weekly

The Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort has introduced a new seaside event pavilion to the property on the Garden Isle’s eastern shore.

The Halau Hookipa opened at the end of March, and the 4,500-square-foot pavilion fronts the ocean, sitting just steps from the sand.

The pavilion will host luau performances, concerts, hula classes and other programming, and is also available to book for weddings, parties, family gatherings and other private events.

The new pavilion at the 314-key resort is open on three sides to allow for easy event set-up and larger gatherings of groups. Up to 180 people can fit in the A-frame structure with a naturally thatched roof using local materials.

The pavilion will be home to the resort’s Luau Ka Hikina, which kicks off with a torch-lighting ceremony and includes hula performances in addition to Tahitian, Maori, Tongan and Samoan dances.

The luau is now offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week, with adult tickets starting at $159.
