Arab royals are spending up to $145,000 hiring yachts to view the New Year’s Eve fireworks at Sydney’s famous Harbour Bridge, according to a news report.
“They are the 1 percent of the 1 percent — they are sheiks from Dubai and Saudi Arabia, billionaires from Russia and Europe,” Sydney Boat Hire owner Daniel Chehab told The Daily Telegraph newspaper.
“We have the best fireworks display in the world in the best harbour,” he added.
For the price of $145,000, customers get a 112-foot super-yacht for 24 hours. The vessel can host up to 12 guests, a chef, waiters and food and drink is included.
