You can now sleep inside a giant wooden pig on a UK camping holiday

Get ready for a camping experience unlike any other – that's going to be particularly popular if you're obsessed with pigs!

The Orchard Pig cider company has gone the whole hog (sorry) to celebrate its Pink cider and created a very eye-catching glamping pod just in time for the summer.

In fact, they've launched a 'Trojan Pig'; a quirky wooden glamping pod in the shape of a bright pink pig!

Although it's called The Ultimate Sty-cation but in reality it's a far cry from a pig's sty.

Inside you'll find comfortable beds – the pod sleeps two people – with weather proof facilities, cosy sleeping bags, festoon lighting and even some soft furnishings for that extra dose of cosiness.

There will also be cooking equipment, ideal if you're hoping to whip up some campfire side treats. (Oh, and a few cans of the Pink cider for those who do fancy a tipple).

The best part is that you can choose the destination where you camp, as the portable pod can be brought direct to you.

Basically it's ideal if you've already got some camping holiday favourites in mind, or are looking to explore somewhere new. (Maybe even by some of the UK's best beaches ?)

Prices start from £100 per night – you can find out more on the Airbnb listing here .

Bookings open next week for stays throughout August, but the wooden pig will also be available to visit when it heads off on a festival tour.

Although the pod sleeps two people, you can actually fit up to 12 people inside, so it's ideal for campers who love to socialise – or of course if you're looking for somewhere for a bit of a post-festival after party.

Rhona Fyfe, Brand Manager of Orchard Pig, said: "Everyone loves a taste of the countryside, but we know its not always easy to get to, and the old-school camping experience isn’t always glamorous.

"That’s why we’re turning glamping into glamPIG – bringing flavours of the farmlands to wherever you desire, complete with sleeping bags, facilities and of course plenty of Orchard Pig Pink cider to quench your thirst.
