Any parent will know that for the first few months of your baby's life, you can give up on the hope of getting plenty of decent sleep.
In fact, new research from the University of Warwick has revealed that new parents can face almost six years of sleep deprivation following the birth of a child.
However one UK hotel is looking to give knackered mums and dads a helping hand, by offering up FREE stays to any parents who want some much-deserved rest in a new Sleep Club.
YOTEL Edinburgh is offering out 100 free stays in its premium rooms with everything you need for a good night's rest including an adjustable SmartBed™, a gel memory foam mattress and adjustable mood lighting.
Mums and dads will also be treated to a Good Sleep Goody Bag with heaps of treats for some uninterrupted pampering for total indulgence.
Of course the logistics of spending the night away from your baby can be a nightmare, especially for mums who are breastfeeding, but the hotel has come up with a solution.
As part of the package, it's offering a 'Boober' service; essentially, it's a 'milk taxi service' which allows mums to send fresh bottles of breast milk back home, just in time for their baby's evening feed.
You can book a stay at The Sleep Club on the YOTEL Edinburgh website here for stays until the 31st December 2019 (although it is subject to availability as there are 100 stays going).
The hotel is offering the package to new parents with children aged 0-3 years, and you'll need to present a valid Personal Child Health Record upon check-in.
Emily-Jane Clark, author of Sleep Is For The Weak (How To Survive When Your Baby Won’t Go The F**k to Sleep), said: "After two babies and years of sleep deprivation YOTEL Edinburgh’s Sleep Club is music to my ears!
"Nothing can prepare you for the tiredness you feel as a new parent so having a place to escape to, alone, with a big glass of wine is invaluable.
"YOTEL has truly thought of everything and if BOOBER had been around when I was breastfeeding, I would've jumped at the chance for a night away. Make the most of it and enjoy a good night’s sleep – if anyone deserves it, it’s new parents."
