Conrad Dublin celebrates 30th Anniversary

Conrad Dublin, the 192-room luxury hotel located in the heart of Dublin, today announces a lineup of fall programming for visitors and locals alike, with the centerpiece of its activations including its 30th anniversary celebrations. Activities will kick off with the Back to School Getaway for Grownups and Lemuel’s Rum Thursday until the hotel’s 30th Anniversary celebration in October, as well as Rugby World Cup specials starting September 22 through November.

“As the oldest, still open Conrad hotel, we are thrilled to celebrate our 30th anniversary this fall with property-wide festivities,” said Martin Mangan, general manager of Conrad Dublin. “Beyond our 30th anniversary, we have the exciting opportunity to showcase a variety of programming and partner events this fall. Dublin provides an ideal getaway for those looking to enjoy brisk temperatures and festive city-wide offerings, and we look forward to offering our guests and locals unique experiences at Conrad Dublin.”

30th Anniversary Celebration

In celebration of Conrad Dublin’s 30th anniversary, the property has unveiled plans for month-long festivities this October, including an exclusive package with a complimentary upgrade to the Presidential suite for the 30th guest who books. Those who book the 30th Anniversary package will be escorted to a suite upon arrival where they can enjoy a bottle of Henriot champagne accompanied by celebratory treats.

As Conrad Dublin also celebrates its milestone of the oldest, still open property under the Conrad Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio, the hotel is also offering a set “throwback” menu created by Head Chef Gary Rogers, which nods to 1989 cuisine. Available for €58 per person, dishes include Prawn Cocktail, Tournedos Rossini (Foie gras, truffle, brioche & asparagus) and Black Forest Gateau (black cherries).

Additional hotel activations include a lobby exhibition with historic hotel memorabilia, themed decorations, a complimentary drink and bite and 1989 fun facts available at check in on the formal anniversary, October 16, 2019. Additionally, guests have the option to pen a letter to Conrad Dublin guests 30-years from now during a ceremonial letter writing.

Conrad Dublin’s Presidential Suite features stunning city views overlooking the Iveagh Gardens and National Concert Hall, spacious living room and dining area, baby grand piano and bespoke Irish artwork. The presidential suite is equipped with the latest technology, including two 65-inch LED TVs with premium channels, a state-of-the-art sound system, Dyson hairdryer, plus an iHome Bluetooth docking station.

Additional fall programming includes:

Sourdough September

Sourdough September returns to Conrad Dublin with the Master Sourdough Bakery class from Bretzel Bakery on Thursday, September 26, 2019. Sourdough September is a destination-wide festival that takes place throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland, encouraging people to buy genuine sourdough or learn how to make it at home. During the class, Master Baker Fabrice Hergaux demonstrates the simple steps of creating a sourdough loaf, showing examples of the bread in addition to a tasting session. Guests are treated to homemade dips of French onion, cheddar and hummus paired with tea and coffee or an afternoon cocktail and beer. In addition to receiving a sample of the bread made in class, participants depart with a sourdough starter from Bretzel Bakery and 30 percent off their food bill at Alfie Byrne’s by Galway Bay Brewery, Conrad Dublin’s Irish-American themed bar offering casual dining with an extensive range of craft beer and whiskeys, throughout the month of October.
