Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection's Evrima debut delayed again: Travel Weekly

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has rescheduled its inaugural voyage to August, citing supply chain disruptions and labor challenges due to Covid-19.

The Evrima, the first yacht in the collection, will now set sail on Aug. 6 from Athens (Piraeus). The superyacht-inspired ship was scheduled to launch on May 6 from Lisbon.

The 298-passenger ship was originally scheduled to set sail in January 2020 but was initially delayed for shipyard issues. Since then, the ship has faced several delays related to the pandemic.

“We continue to make significant progress on Evrima and look forward to welcoming guests onboard this summer. We thank our guests for their support as we continue to navigate an evolving global landscape,” said Douglas Prothero, CEO of the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.

The chain is reaching out to impacted guests and travel agents. Guests may reschedule their voyage to later in 2022, 2023 or 2024, or work with the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection on refund options.
